Karlsruhe (AP) - The winning streak of Karlsruher SC in the 2nd Bundesliga continues.

Baden came in the catch-up game of the 29th matchday against FC Erzgebirge Aue on Monday only to a 0-0 and have not won in six games.

The last home win was even three months ago.

In the table, the KSC is seven points behind relegation rank three and has almost no chance to intervene again in the promotion race.

Aue, who already has the league's whereabouts, is another three points behind.

"We can again be blamed for our commitment and passion, I believe," said Jerôme Gondorf. The KSC captain and his colleagues had only returned to training last Wednesday after 14 days of isolation due to several corona cases and played 2-2 against Würzburg on Friday. Against Aue you should have acted “better and more purposefully” at the front, according to Gondorf.

In a balanced game with few opportunities, both teams had to change early due to injuries.

Aues Ognjen Gnjatic fell unlucky on his right arm and had to go out after eight minutes, 19 minutes later Karlsruhe's Kyoung-Rok Choi hobbled off the field.

The South Korean had the best opportunity before, but failed in the 13th minute due to Philipp Klewin, who instead of Martin Männel (back injury) was guarding the guests' goal.

During the break, KSC striker Philipp Hofmann stayed in the cabin with knee problems.

After all, defender Sebastian Jung, who was plagued by bad luck with injuries so far, lasted for the full 90 minutes on his starting eleven debut for KSC and was "satisfied" with it.

In the front, however, the penetration power was lacking on both sides.

Philip Heise missed the hosts' best chance in the second half with a free kick (79th).

Shortly before the end, the Auer, trained by ex-KSC professional Dirk Schuster, were again dangerous by Florian Krüger (86th) and Philipp Riese - also with a free kick (90th + 2).
