Over the past year, the grasshoppers have plowed through the landscapes and eaten most of what they came across, which has destroyed the farmers' crops.
But grasshoppers contain a lot of protein and that was what made Abdi Achebe, project manager for The Bug Picture, come up with a way to use the grasshoppers to their advantage.
- At first people feel that grasshoppers are hell, they look at it from a negative perspective, but now I think we see the positive part of it.
We try to educate communities that you can turn grasshoppers into manure and it can be cheaper for you.
