Bremen (dpa) - After the violent death of his wife, a 24-year-old has to answer for murder at the Bremen regional court from Tuesday (1.30 p.m.) onwards.
The public prosecutor's office accuses the man of stabbing the 25-year-old woman to death in their shared apartment in Bremen at the end of October 2020.
After the investigation, the woman had told her husband that she wanted to finally separate and have a new relationship.
The German is said to have been jealous, and an argument broke out.
According to the indictment, the man is said to have said that he would kill himself.
According to the investigation, the woman then handed him a knife and turned away.
The man is said to have stabbed his wife 14 times in the back, neck and neck area.
The 25-year-old died within minutes.
