In his address, the public figure noted that every year millions of Russian citizens visit foreign resorts.

Thus, they sponsor foreign tourist infrastructure for tens of billions of rubles, which could remain inside the country and become a financial source for the development of domestic resort areas.

In his annual message to the Federal Assembly on April 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of extending the deadline for the payment of compensation for part of the expenses to citizens for domestic recreation.

Another significant incentive in this matter, according to Khamzayev, could be an increase in vacation for citizens vacationing in the tourist zones of Russia.

"In this regard, I ask you to evaluate the possibility of increasing the duration of paid vacation from 28 to 35 days for citizens who have a paid tourist voucher or a paid hotel in one of the tourist zones of Russia for a period of at least ten days," the text of the appeal says.

Earlier it became known that more than 1 million Russians took advantage of the tourist cashback program.
