China News Service, Beijing, April 26 (Li Jingze) The Australian Defense Minister said a few days ago that Australia should not ignore the possibility of conflict with China on the Taiwan issue.

In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin stated at a regular press conference on the 26th that China must be unified, and must be unified.

Wang Wenbin emphasized that abiding by the one-China principle is the due meaning of China-Australia relations.

Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory. The Taiwan issue is purely China's internal affair, involving China's core interests, and no external forces are allowed to intervene.

Wang Wenbin pointed out that the root cause of the current tension and turbulence in cross-strait relations is the refusal of the DPP authorities to recognize the "92 Consensus" that embodies the one-China principle and the continuous provocation of "independence" by linking up with external forces.

"China must be reunified, and it is bound to be reunified." Wang Wenbin said that we are willing to do our utmost to strive for the prospect of peaceful reunification, but we will never leave any room for any form of "Taiwan independence" separatist activities.

It is hoped that the Australian side will fully recognize the high sensitivity of the Taiwan issue, abide by the one-China principle, be prudent in words and deeds, refrain from sending any wrong signals to the separatist forces of "Taiwan independence", and do more things that are conducive to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and Sino-Australian relations.
