China News Service, April 26. According to foreign media reports, NASA’s Mars helicopter "Witty" successfully completed its third flight on Mars on the 25th. Compared with previous reports, "Witty" has successfully completed its third flight on Mars. This time it flew farther and faster, with a maximum speed of approximately 2 meters per second.

On April 25, 2021 local time, NASA released the third take-off picture of the "wit" helicopter on Mars.

The third flight of "Wisdom" began at 4:31 a.m. Eastern Time on the 25th and climbed to about 5 meters, the same altitude as the second flight last week.

However, according to NASA, the helicopter did not move laterally and flew about 50 meters, with a maximum speed of nearly 2 meters per second.

According to reports, the "Perseverance" probe took a video of the "Wit" flight. NASA said that the video clips will be sent to Earth in the next few days.

NASA explained in a statement: "If the'wit' flies too fast, the flight algorithm will not be able to track features on the surface."

The flight of "Wiz" is challenging because the atmosphere of Mars is very thin, only 1% of the density of the earth.

NASA announced that the "Witty" is now preparing for its fourth flight.

Each flight plan must increase the difficulty in order to push the "wit" to the limit.

The "Wizard" experiment will end in a month, when the "Perseverance" will return to its main mission: to find signs of life on Mars that may have existed in the past.
