Michelstadt (dpa / lhe) - The emergency landing of a motorized airplane caused the rescue workers to be deployed at the weekend in Michelstadt in southern Hesse.

The 60-year-old pilot and his 58-year-old companion were not injured, the police in Darmstadt announced on Monday.

According to the initial investigations, the pilot had to make an emergency landing on Saturday morning in a meadow near a street in the Steinbuch district due to a technical defect.

The aircraft and pasture fences were damaged.

The police did not disclose the amount of damage.

The leaked operating materials were tied up by the fire department.
