Berlin (dpa) - The women of the TTC Berlin Eastside have secured their seventh title since 2014 in the decisive third final game for the German table tennis championship against DJK Kolbermoor.

After the previous 5: 3 away successes of both teams, the duel without spectators on Sunday in Berlin-Lichtenberg ended again 5: 3 for the TTC.

The points for success went to Nina Mittelham and Xiaona Shan (1 each) in the upper and Britt Eerland (2) and Ding Yaping (1) in the lower cross.

For Eastside, winning the title meant the fourth triple in the club's history after the successes in the national cup and in the Champions League. The championship victories since 2014 were only interrupted by Kolbermoor in 2018. The TTC now has a total of 21 titles in its success account since 2012 - seven championships, six cup wins, five Champions League wins and three in the ETTU Cup.

The long-time highly exciting argument at eye level began with one success for both sides in the upper pair cross.

Xiaona Shan lost to Kristin Lang 2: 3, Nina Mittelham surprisingly won 3: 2 against DJK number one Fu Yu.

Both games in the lower pair cross went through the sovereign Britt Eerland (3: 0 against Svetlana Ganina) and Ding Yaping (3: 0 against Yuan Wan) at Eastside.

In the second individual round Shan won the final against Fu Yu (3: 2) for the third time, but Mittelham lost 2: 3 to Kristin Lang.

Mathematically, however, the championship title for Berlin was already clear.
