Hanover / Bremen (dpa / lni) - The police in Hanover and Bremen were heavily involved at the weekend to control the night curfew to contain the corona pandemic.

In Hanover, the officials registered around 40 violations, in Bremen there were around 120. According to the police, the people had mostly kept to the curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday.

On Saturday night, the police in Bremen checked around 450 people who were still out at night.

Most had assumed that the curfew would not apply until the following night and showed their understanding.

Administrative offense reports were made against five unteachable people.

On Sunday night, the officers checked more than 120 vehicles and 175 inmates.

In addition, emergency services were out and about in the city.

A total of almost 400 people were checked and 114 violations of the curfew were found.

In Hanover, the police informed about 250 people of the curfew on Saturday night and registered about 20 violations.

On Sunday night, the officials also found around 20 violations.
