April 25, 2021: A high-level security delegation leaves today for the United States to explain to the Biden administration the reasons for Israel's opposition to the Vienna talks on Iranian nuclear projects. The delegation, the military radio specified, is led by the head of Mossad Yossi Cohen and by the national security adviser Meir Ben Shabbat.



The chief of staff gen. Aviv Kochavi, but preferred to postpone his departure due to tensions with Hamas after repeated rocket attacks from Gaza to Israel. 



According to the broadcaster, Israel has come to the conclusion that its ability to influence Biden's policy on Iranian nuclear power is very limited. in any case, he added, the delegation will make it clear that Israel will not feel bound by any agreements reached in Vienna.



Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for calm following several nights of clashes in East Jerusalem between Jews, Palestinians and law enforcement.



The situation prompted Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu to urgently convene a meeting with Defense Minister Benny Gantz and senior military officials.



Netanyahu warned that the army is "ready to face any scenario" in the Gaza Strip, where at least 30 rockets were fired by Palestinians in the direction of Israel in the night between Friday and Saturday.



A few hundred police officers were deployed in East Jerusalem to avoid further riots. Several people were arrested.



At least ten Palestinians were arrested in clashes with Israeli police in the evening in Jerusalem, in the Damascus Gate area, Israeli media reported adding that six were injured.



The police are also busy at the Qalandiya checkpoint, in the West Bank, where about a hundred Palestinians threw Molotov cocktails and stones in the direction of the agents.



Also according to the Israeli media, several hundred Palestinians are protesting along the Gaza Strip over the riots in Jerusalem and the growing tensions with Israel.
