On the 21st of this month, the Indonesian Navy submarine "KRI Nanggala 402", which had 53 commanders and soldiers on board, disappeared in the waters about 37 km north of Bali.

The military held a press conference on the 25th, and revealed that a rescue ship of the Singapore Navy had confirmed that the hull had been split into three at a depth of about 840 meters, as a result of an underwater probe.

"Based on the evidence, it can be said that the submarine sank and all the crew members died," he said, adding that a new escape suit for the crew was discovered, including the "kaji" at the rear of the hull.

A military executive pointed out that the cause of the accident was "not a human error. I was diving in the correct procedure."

The military will continue to search for the body and will pull up the wreckage of the submarine to investigate the cause of the accident.
