It was at lunchtime on Thursday that a man was found dead outside in the woods at Dumme bog just outside Jönköping.
During the evening, the police went out with information about the dead person and in all probability it is a man in his 55s who disappeared on Wednesday.
Relatives have been notified of the situation.
The suspect is requested to be detained
A man in his 40s was arrested during the night until Friday on probable cause on suspicion of murder, which is the higher degree of suspicion, and on Sunday the prosecutor requested that the man be arrested.
- We are in an early stage and the police are working intensively with the case so we can not comment on anything at the moment, says prosecutor Lisa Hedberg.
The arrest hearing will take place on Monday.
