Leipzig (dpa / sn) - In the middle of their sleep, a family in Leipzig was surprised by a fire.
The fire brigade was able to save the 28 and 36-year-old parents and a one-year-old on Sunday night, the police announced on Sunday.
They were rushed to hospital on suspicion of smoke inhalation.
After outpatient treatment, they could leave the clinic.
The apartment is no longer habitable, the amount of the damage is currently unknown.
Why the fire broke out was initially unclear.
The police have started an investigation into negligent arson.
