Otterndorf (dpa / lni) - An escaped cattle has overcome several fences in the district of Cuxhaven and, according to its owner, even swam through a lake.
The aggressive animal broke out of a fenced pasture in Otterndorf on Saturday, the police said on Sunday.
When it appeared near the railroad tracks and could not be caught, a veterinarian was called to incapacitate the cattle with stun arrows.
Rail traffic between Cuxhaven and Hamburg was restricted for the duration of the mission.
