Berlin (AP) - Trainer Urs Fischer relies on rotation in the fight for a European cup place for 1. FC Union Berlin.

The Eiserne will be playing in the Bundesliga against Werder Bremen on Saturday with a starting lineup that has changed to four positions compared to the 2-0 defeat in Dortmund.

Only on the bench sits captain Christopher Trimmel among others.

Julian Ryerson moves to the right defensive position.

Defender Nico Schlotterbeck, veteran Christian Gentner and attacker Joel Pohjanpalo are also new to the starting line-up.

At Werder, coach Florian Kohfeldt only made one change after the last six defeats compared to the 0: 1 against Mainz.

Miloš Veljković is absent because of his broken nose.

Christian Groß is new to the star formation.

Before kick-off, Union was eighth within sight of a starting place for the Europa League or Conference League.

Werder was in danger of relegation again with only one point ahead of the relegation rank.

Last season, the Berliners had saved the Hanseatic League from going into the 2nd division with a 3-0 win against Fortuna Düsseldorf on the last day of the match.
