Meppen (dpa / lni) - SV Meppen has conceded another home defeat in the relegation battle of the 3rd football league.

By conceding a goal in stoppage time, the Emslanders lost 2: 3 (0: 2) against leaders FC Hansa Rostock.

Philip Türpitz scored on Saturday just before the end for the guests (90th + 1).

Markus Ballmert (60th) and Christoph Hemlein (67th) had equalized a 2-0 deficit in just a few minutes.

Because John Verhoek (27th) and Pascal Breier (44th) had put Rostock in the lead before the break with an almost perfect exploitation of chances.

Meppen was also the superior team in the second half, but was also lucky between the goals for 1: 2 and 2: 2 when Rostock's Lukas Scherff only hit the inside post (65th).

For the table-16.

It is now getting tighter in the relegation battle, as the two competitors KFC Uerdingen and 1. FC Kaiserslautern won their games on Saturday.

The lead over a relegation place is only one point - and the Uerdingen in 17th place still have a game to play.

For Meppen it was the third home defeat in a row and the fifth bankruptcy in the past six home games.
