This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

“After US President Joe Biden's statement about the events of 1915, US Ambassador David Satterfield was summoned to our ministry and received by Deputy Minister Sedat Onal,” the source said.

According to the source, the ambassador was informed that the Turkish side considers Biden's statement unacceptable and devoid of legal and historical grounds.

Also, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that these words damage the relations between the two countries.

Earlier, the US Embassy and Consulates in Turkey announced that they would be closed on April 26 and 27 as a precaution after Joe Biden's announcement of the Armenian Genocide.
