About the issue of the murder of a large number of Armenians in the Turkic Ottoman Empire during World War I more than 100 years ago, US President Joe Biden identified it as "genocide" = genocide.

Turkey has rebounded violently, and further deterioration of relations between the two countries is inevitable.

The Armenian side claims that the problem that occurred during World War I was "genocide" = a genocide aimed at a specific ethnic group, but Turkey, the successor to the Ottoman Empire, killed many inhabitants. While admitting that, he denies that there was no systematic slaughter.

US President Joe Biden issued a statement on the 24th to commemorate the Armenian side, pointing out that "1.5 million Armenians were expelled or slaughtered in the movement to eradicate the people." It was certified as "genocide".

Successive US administrations have emphasized relations with Turkey and have not recognized it, but President Biden seems to have the aim of emphasizing human rights.

In response, Turkey has vehemently argued that Foreign Minister Chaushor has criticized "political opportunism" on Twitter and "rejects this statement altogether."

Both the United States and Turkey are affiliated with NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organization and have an alliance, but the gap is deepening over the introduction of Russian weapons by Turkey, and further deterioration of relations is inevitable.
