One person died in a fire in a hostel in Kemerovo

"At about 18:00 (14:00 Moscow time), a message was received that in one of the dorm rooms after extinguishing the fire, the body of a 62-year-old man with traces of strong thermal effects was found, and a woman was hospitalized from the same address with carbon monoxide poisoning," said in a statement.

It is noted that a pre-investigation check is being carried out on this fact.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire while smoking.

Earlier, the investigative authorities of Surgut opened a criminal case on the death of two children aged three and seven as a result of a fire in a country house.
