Los Angeles (AP) - First the "Razzies", then the Oscars: Hollywood ridiculous prizes were awarded on the day before the Oscar gala.

The musical drama “Music” won three “Golden Raspberries” or “Razzies”, as the distributors of the not-to-be-taken prizes announced in a video message.

Sia’s directorial debut brought the Australian the trophy for worst female director.

There were also shameful awards for Kate Hudson as the leading actress and Maddie Ziegler in the supporting role of a young autistic girl.

The film with its trendy dance and music interludes had been criticized for its handling of autism.

Two “razzies” went to the documentary “Absolute Proof” by US businessman Mike Lindell, a supporter of ex-President Donald Trump, which was riddled with conspiracy theories and unsubstantiated election fraud allegations.

Lindell won the trophies for both actor and worst film.

Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani was not spared either.

His appearance in the biting satire "Borat Anschluss Moviefilm" with the British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen as a fictional reporter from Kazakhstan earned him the ridiculous prize as a supporting actor and for the worst screen combo (Giuliani and his pants zip).

Giuliani shows up in a precarious interview scene with his hand in his pants.

Because of the Corona crisis, there was also a special trophy for 2020 as the “worst calendar year ever” at the 41st ridiculous award ceremony.

The "Razzies" were created by the film buff John Wilson as a counterpart to the glamorous Academy Awards.

Almost 1,100 members from the United States and two dozen other countries cast their vote, according to the group.
