Paderborn (dpa) - Second division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf has suffered a setback in the fight for the promotion ranks.

Uwe Rösler's team lost 1: 2 (0: 0) at SC Paderborn on Saturday.

Holstein Kiel won 3-1 at VfL Osnabrück at the same time and displaced the Rhinelander from fourth place in the table.

Düsseldorf first took the lead in the second half through Rouwen Hennings (64th).

But shortly afterwards the home side turned the game around with a double blow.

First Kai Pröger (71st) hit with a free kick, then Dennis Srbeny (74th) was successful for the team of coach Steffen Baumgart.

Düsseldorf is still one point behind Hamburger SV, who are on the relegation rank.

However, Fortuna has now played one game more than HSV.

Kiel in fourth place has three games fewer than Düsseldorf after its renewed corona quarantine.
