Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The chairman of the CDU Hamburg, Christoph Ploß, is to lead the Hamburg CDU as a top candidate in the federal election campaign, according to the will of the state executive.
On Saturday, the board of the Hamburg CDU unanimously decided on its proposal for the state list in the federal election in 2021 and put Ploß in first place on the list.
Franziska Hoppermann is in second place, Christoph de Vries and Rüdiger Kruse follow in third and fourth place, as the party announced on Saturday after the digital meeting.
Ploß emphasized that the proposal should represent the entire diversity of the party's content.
The final decision on the state list of the Hamburg CDU will be made at a corona-compliant state representative assembly on May 29th with a digital candidate presentation and subsequent ballot box election.
