The rescue service is on site with 25 firefighters from four different stations.
- The whole house is on fire and it is a huge villa of approximately 500 sqm, on two floors, says Roger Magnusson, operations manager at the rescue service Södertörn.
The fire is not yet under control and there is a risk of it spreading to two nearby villas.
- We do not put so many resources on the villa, it will burn down, but now it is about saving the neighboring houses, says Roger Magnusson.
It is unclear if anyone is injured, but according to information to the rescue service, no one should be in the villa.
The villa is only a few hundred meters from Drottningholm Castle, but at present the rescue service does not assess that the fire risks spreading to the castle.
