Chinanews.com, April 23. According to a report from the Russian Satellite Network on the 23rd, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared five Polish embassy staff as "unwelcome people" as a response to Poland's expulsion of Russian diplomats.

On April 15, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement declaring three diplomats from the Russian Embassy in Poland as "unwelcome persons."

The statement also stated that Poland supports the actions taken by the US government against Russia that day.

Earlier on the 15th, the US government imposed large-scale sanctions on Russia and expelled 10 Russian diplomats on the grounds of malicious activities such as Russia’s cyber attacks and interference in the US elections.

In response to Poland’s expulsion of Russian diplomats, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova previously responded that Poland’s move was not based on facts, but was "subject to" the performance of the United States.

Slutsky, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma (lower house of parliament), said that this anti-Russian move by Poland will deepen the rift between the two countries.

Recently, in addition to Poland, countries such as the Czech Republic and Bulgaria have also announced the expulsion of Russian diplomats.

In response, the Russian side responded separately.
