On the evening of April 22, local time, a conflict between Palestinians and Israelis occurred in Jerusalem, causing more than a hundred people to be injured.
That night, Jewish extremists held an anti-Arab demonstration near the Old City of Jerusalem and clashed with the Palestinians. Israeli police who went to the scene to maintain order were also attacked.
Since Ramadan began on April 13, local time, conflicts between Palestine and Israel have occurred every night in and around the Old City of Jerusalem.
After Israel occupied East Jerusalem in 1967, it unilaterally declared that the entire Jerusalem was its "permanent and indivisible capital", while the Palestinian side demanded the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
