42 units including the 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) federations of trade unions, 10 national industrial trade unions, and the central and state organ trade union federations were selected in accordance with the requirements of the notice.
After basic-level unit publicity, preliminary review, provincial publicity, re-examination, soliciting opinions from relevant ministries and commissions, and national publicity, the review work has now been completed.
This year, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions will commend 397 National May 1st Labor Medals, 1197 National May 1st Labor Medals, and 1297 National Worker Pioneer Numbers.
This recommendation and selection work has the following four characteristics.
One is to moderately expand the scale of commendation and select more advanced models.
This year's May 1st commendation coincides with the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan.
According to the requirements of the All-China Party Group, the scale of this year's commendation has been moderately expanded.
On the one hand, the number of regular commendations was increased, with 200 commendation certificates, 900 medals, and 900 Pioneers.
On the other hand, there is an additional competition and commendation project, with 200 certificates of merit, 300 medals, and 400 pioneers, which are used to commend the advanced collectives and individuals that emerged in the national leading labor and skill competition during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period.
After adjustment, the scale of commendation increased from 1,600 to 2,900 last time.
The second is to stick to the front line at the grassroots level and focus on industrial workers.
Insist on facing the grassroots, front-line, and ordinary workers, and continue to list the proportion of industrial workers in the medal separately, requiring no less than 35%.
Regular commendation and competition commendation are combined. There are 509 industrial workers, accounting for 42.5%, which exceeds the required proportion. In addition, there are 274 other front-line employees and professional and technical personnel, and 229 scientific and educational personnel. The third is to serve the overall situation around the center, with a strong contemporary and advanced nature.
All units declare advanced models in strict accordance with the recommended selection conditions. The recommended objects have a firm political stand, exemplary compliance with party discipline and national laws, outstanding work performance and good social influence, and generally have the provincial May 1st Labor Award and the Worker Pioneer Number or above. .
They model and practice the new development concept, serve the new development pattern, and actively promote high-quality development.
In regular commendations, more than half of the recommended objects have made outstanding contributions to innovation-driven development, revitalization of the real economy, and manufacturing power. About one-fifth of the recommended objects have made important contributions to epidemic prevention and control and healthy China. More than 200 have made outstanding contributions to society, promoting green development, and promoting major projects.
In the competition commendation, 69 advanced collectives and individuals emerged in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative development labor and skills competition, 144 advanced models emerged in the labor and skills competition for the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the "Belt and Road" construction labor and skills competition There are 86 advanced models emerging in China.
The fourth is to cover various groups, with broad representation and mass character.
This year's regular commendation and recommendation objects basically cover all industries in the national economy, and the competition commendation and recommendation objects basically cover the national leading labor and skills competition projects.
From the perspective of enterprise ownership, non-public enterprises and their employees account for 40.0%, 37.5%, and 39.0% of the regular commendation certificates, medals, and workers' pioneers, respectively, which are 5.0, 2.5, and 4.0 percentage points higher than the prescribed ratio, which fully reflects Attaches great importance to non-public enterprises.
In terms of other indicators, the candidates cover 24 ethnic groups. There are 99 ethnic minorities, accounting for 8.3%; there are 883 CCP members, accounting for 73.8%, 38 democratic parties, 23 non-party members, and 243 women.
Among the recommended award units and workers’ pioneer collectives, there are 1382 enterprise units, accounting for 81.6%; 167 public institutions, accounting for 9.9%; and 145 party, government, and social organizations, accounting for 8.6%.
