Voerde (dpa / lnw) - A driver lost control of his car on Thursday evening in Voerde (Wesel district) and hit a tree.
Then the man was thrown with his car on the sidewalk and against a house wall, the police said on Friday.
The 38-year-old was reportedly seriously injured in the accident.
He came to the hospital.
According to initial findings, the man had lost control in a left turn and then turned off the road to the right.
Since the 38-year-old smelled of alcohol, according to the police, a blood sample was taken from him.
Damage was caused to both the house and the tree.
The police initially gave no information about the amount of property damage.
