Bremen / Saarbrücken (dpa) - Bremen and Saarland were the first federal states to achieve a rate of 25 percent for initial vaccinations on Friday.

This means that every fourth person in both federal states has already received at least one vaccination against the coronavirus.

Bremen's Senator for Health Claudia Bernhard (left) spoke of a “great interim result” in view of the scarce vaccine.

According to the Ministry of Health, 5,300 vaccinations are carried out every day in Saarland.
