Burgbrohl (dpa / lrs) - In an accident in the Ahrweiler district, a motorcyclist and a car driver were seriously injured on Friday.
For reasons unknown so far, the 54-year-old biker collided with the driver's car on the road 114 near Burgbrohl, as the police announced.
Both the 60-year-old driver and the biker were taken to clinics.
The road was closed in both directions during the accident recording and rescue, as a police spokeswoman said.
Both vehicles had been totaled.
The amount of damage could not initially be quantified.
