Since the fatal beating at the bathing and camping site in Malmköping on Wednesday afternoon, the investigation has been about collecting evidence and testimonies.

According to the preliminary investigation leader and also the prosecutor Johanna Levin, there were several people on site who witnessed the incident.

- Both the murder victim and the suspect were there in company with others.

Their versions of what happened are not consistent, she says.

To find out what is true and what is false, the police have seized mobile phones and vehicles.

Several objects that may have been used in the assault have been sent to the National Forensic Center for Analysis.

- We try to get a clear picture of what happened, says Johanna Levin.

On Friday, she chose to request that the suspect be detained, and late in the afternoon, Nyköping District Court decided to grant her request.
