Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Another 1.5 million people in Hesse can now register for a corona vaccination.
As Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) said in Wiesbaden on Friday, registration for priority group three is now possible.
In addition to people between the ages of 60 and 69, this group includes people with an increased risk of developing a severe disease as well as members of certain professional groups.
According to the information, this includes people with immunodeficiency or autoimmune diseases and heart failure.
Firefighters and other specific professional groups are now also entitled to register for a vaccination appointment.
So far, members of priority groups one and two could be vaccinated in Hessen.
These include people over the age of 70, residents in old people's and nursing homes, people with a serious pre-existing illness and particularly vulnerable occupational groups.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, prioritization group two also includes 1.5 million people.
It is still possible to register people who belong to the first two prioritization groups.
