Überlingen (dpa / lsw) - The state horticultural show in Überlingen starts on April 30th - after a long wait, a year late and in compliance with a comprehensive hygiene concept.

As the organizers announced on Thursday evening, the amended Infection Protection Act makes it possible to open the state horticultural show, which is classified as a botanical garden, regardless of a seven-day incidence below 100.

Events are not permitted, however, and the flower hall remains closed.

But: "Long walks are possible," it said.

Visitors would have to present a negative corona test no older than 24 hours and register before their visit.

"We have dealt very intensively with infection protection and have taken sufficient precautions in a wide variety of areas to protect everyone as well as possible - the guests, the team and everyone who works with us," said Managing Director Edith Heppeler.

The number of visitors is limited depending on the size of the site.

There will be counting lights at the entrances.

One-way systems are intended to rectify critical points in small exhibition areas.

Visitors must book a time slot for their journey via the Landesgartenschau's online ticket portal (www.überlingen2021.de).

Season ticket holders only need to register online once before their first visit.
