The ministry said that in accordance with the decree of the President of Russia "On temporary measures to resolve the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Russia in connection with the threat of the further spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)" to foreigners in Russia in violation of the order stay established by law, the opportunity is provided to settle the legal situation without applying the sanctions provided for in this case.
"In this regard, persons who have no legal basis for being on the territory of the Russian Federation are strongly advised to contact the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at their location," the ministry said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the number of illegally working foreign citizens in Russia decreased by 40% in 2020.
