Politico reported that Pentagon officials have shared information with senior US lawmakers about Russia being behind the attacks that struck Americans last year.

According to the site, these attacks were carried out with mysterious weapons, "and it is believed that Russia is behind them."

Among these attacks were the injury of American soldiers in Syria, and an incident that occurred in the fall of 2020, in which a number of soldiers had flu-like symptoms.

Politico noted that a Pentagon spokesman declined to comment on these reports and on the briefing provided to members of Congress.

He said that the ministry is not aware of the energy attacks directed against US forces in Syria.

This investigation is part of a broader investigation into mysterious symptoms that some American workers abroad have complained about.

These symptoms began in 2016 when employees of the US Embassy in Havana complained of a sharp tone, headache, and fatigue after they were suspected of being exposed to sharp sounds.
