MMA champion Muhammad Mukayev caused an uproar on Twitter by posting a tweet announcing the British government's refusal to issue an entry visa to his wife.

Mukayev, 20, wrote, through his account, that the British government twice refused to issue a visa to his wife while preventing him from appealing again, and said that the refusal came after he represented Britain for a period of 9 years.

The Muslim immigrant hero represented Britain in a number of international forums, but he believes that this did not intercede for him or his wife, in order to overcome several difficulties they faced, the last of which was preventing the player's wife from obtaining a visa to enter Britain.

Thanks for refusing my wife's visa, after representing UK🇬🇧for 9 years 👏 @ukhomeoffice @pritipatel

And the Sanad news verification agency on the Al-Jazeera network conducted an interview with Mukayev, to find out more details about his story.

What justified the British Home Office for refusing your wife's visa application?

The request was rejected based on the intention of the visit, and she will return.

I appreciate that the Ministry of the Interior is busy, but I see that they have ignored a closer look at the papers presented.

Simply they made a mistake, mistakes usually happen, but they have to be fair.

Ultimately, the ministry is doing its job according to the law, and all I ask him is to carefully consider the request.

My wife has provided all the required data, and if the matter is carefully evaluated then I think the opportunity will allow her to visit.

I have been living in Britain for 9 years, and I do not have any criminal record. Through my lawyer, I submitted a letter to the government in which I showed that I am a professional athlete and keen to avoid violating immigration laws.

Do you think that your refugee status in Britain may be the reason for refusing to grant a visa to your wife?

Perhaps, because they might think she's coming for immigration, but she has no problems in Russia.

She finished university with a high degree, and her parents are two famous doctors, and they are highly respected in Russia, and I translated her university degree into English and made it clear to them that she would not come to live in Britain. The British Home Office tried to communicate with my wife's workplace after rejecting the papers two days ago. They ask if she actually works in this place.

Have you filed a previous lawsuit against the government?

I filed a lawsuit in 2017 against the Ministry of Interior, because I had not been able to travel for 5 years due to waiting for a final response on my refugee status. I was only able to travel two weeks after the lawsuit was filed.
