Meppen (dpa) - 1. FC Magdeburg won 2: 1 (0: 0) in the third division against table neighbors SV Meppen.

Sören Bertram (50th) and Bariş Atik (74th) scored the goals for FCM.

Luka Tankulic managed to equalize in the meantime (74th).

Magdeburg's Raphael Obermair (90 + 2.) Saw the red card.

Magdeburg is now on rank 12 and has six points ahead of the relegation ranks.

The FCM had problems with the Meppener pressing and hardly developed.

Christian Titz had to change early to avoid another yellow-red card like against FSV Zwickau - Henry Rorig replaced Dominik Ernst (35th).

Mike-Steven Behre (42nd), whose shin ricochet held Magdeburg's goalkeeper, missed the best scoring opportunity.

After the break, the FCM were better and took the lead somewhat surprisingly.

After Atik's flank, Bertram (50.) headed the ball free-standing into the far corner.

Meppen needed to recover and benefited from a playback error by the guests when Tankulic equalized (74th).

But thirty seconds later Atik put the FCM back in front alone in front of Meppen's goalkeeper - Meppen's central defense had misjudged the kick-off.

In stoppage time, Obermair saw red for an entry from behind, but the equalizer no longer fell.
