Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The unset Estonian Anett Kontaveit has reached the quarter-finals at the tennis tournament in Stuttgart.
The 2019 finalist prevailed on Wednesday against former Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin from the USA 7: 5, 6: 4.
Kenin is number four in the world rankings and third on the seeding list in the high-class clay court tournament.
In the quarter-finals on Friday, the world number 27 will meet.
Contaveit to the winner of the game between Anna-Lena Friedsam from Andernach and Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus.
The two meet on Thursday.
