As announced by the Italian government, restrictions on COVID-19 will be gradually eased starting next week.

According to local media including Daily Corriere della Sera, Prime Minister Mario Draghi held a cabinet meeting on the evening of the 21st, local time, and approved the executive order.

According to this, from the 26th, interstate transfers will be allowed between regions with low risk of spreading the virus.

In areas with a high risk of spread, only those with the'Green Pass' who have been vaccinated against the Corona 19 vaccine, or who have recovered and have immunity after infection, can visit.

This is the first time since the end of last year that such interstate movement has been allowed.

If you receive or exercise a false green pass, you will face penalties such as imprisonment.

Restaurants and pubs in regions where the risk of spreading the virus is relatively low can be opened at night at outdoor tables, and cultural facilities such as theaters, museums, and movie theaters will be reopened on the premise of limiting the number of visitors.

Concerts with multiple gatherings are only possible outdoors.

The proportion of face-to-face classes at front-line schools is also greatly expanded.

For high schools, face-to-face classes of at least 50-75% per virus spread risk level are guaranteed.

From the 15th of next month, the outdoor swimming pool in areas with low risk of spread will be opened, and the indoor gym and restaurant will resume on June 1.

In addition, from June 15th, exhibitions and exhibitions, and from July 1st, the operation of theme parks, etc., will be normalized in order.

The government, however, has decided to keep the current night curfew, which is applied from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day, nationwide.

Right-wing alliances, such as the alliance of far-right political parties participating in the coalition cabinet, strongly requested that the curfew start time be delayed by an hour at cabinet meetings, but Prime Minister Draghi refused to allow this, resulting in conflict.

The alliance expressed dissatisfaction with this and refrained from voting on the approval of the executive order, raising controversy.

Some criticize whether the government is responding with ease by easing regulations on the contrary, as the spread of the virus comparable to that in the first half of last year is becoming a reality.

As of yesterday, the number of new confirmed cases of Corona 19 in Italy per day is 16,232, and the number of deaths is 360.
