The President of the Republicans Christian Jacob attacked hard Thursday the former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe who according to him "brought us the yellow vests" and "bears all the failure of the first part of the quinquennium of Emmanuel Macron" .
"I cannot recognize myself in Edouard Philippe" who "ran away and betrayed us" said Mr. Jacob during a live Facebook of young LR.
The former Prime Minister, himself ex-LR, "is one of those who stuck a knife in our back" by deciding to "go into the legislative campaign to be debauched, to buy for a seat, was- he very illustrious, from Matignon, "added Mr. Jacob.
For the president of LR, Edouard Philippe "is the one who gave everything to the thugs, the thugs" in Notre-Dame-des-Landes, and who "increased public spending faster than under François Hollande".
On pensions, Mr. Jacob mocked "three years of talking to be unable to reform" and on the health crisis he deplored the management "of masks, tests, resuscitation beds ... he wears all that".
"Edouard Philippe, explain to us that he is the candidate of the right, I have a little trouble because he is guarantor of that", he added.
Edouard Philippe returned to the forefront of the national scene by publishing at the beginning of April "Impressions et lines claire" (ed. Lattes), an account of his experience at Matignon, fueling speculation on the role he intends to play in the presidential election of 2022.
