Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The south-west economy has massively criticized the stricter test requirement in companies and called for employees to be more responsible.

"Nobody can yet estimate how much the compulsory test offers will really bring in the companies, but things are already being saddled up again: Confidence in the reliability of the policy of this federal government is approaching zero," said Peer-Michael Dick, Managing Director of Entrepreneurs Baden- Württemberg, on Wednesday in Stuttgart.

From a business perspective, it would have been better to oblige employees to have themselves tested or to test themselves. "It is like declaring bankruptcy when government parties no longer dare to do the right thing, just because they then have to step on the feet of the employees - and voters." Dick added that experience shows “that the test offers are accepted more cautiously by employees than might be necessary from the point of view of infection protection”.

On Tuesday, the new Corona Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance came into force, which obliges companies to offer all employees in attendance at least one quick test per week.

On Wednesday, the federal cabinet decided that companies must provide two corona tests per week.

If possible, the employer must allow his employees to work from home and employees usually have to accept that too.
