Linz (dpa) - With the help of slaps, a woman in Upper Austria got her stolen car back from the alleged perpetrators.

As the police reported on Thursday, the 41-year-old had parked the vehicle in an underground car park in Linz on Wednesday and then lost the keys.

When she noticed that her car had been stolen, she called the police.

Only about an hour later, she reported to the officers that she had solved her problem herself.

You found your car at a traffic light.

There were three men in it.

"She immediately ripped open the driver's door, grabbed the handlebars by the outer clothing and slapped him a couple of times," reported the police.

The men had fled.

The woman tried to follow her with her car, but then lost track.

The suspects continued to flee.
