U.S. and Canada extend border restrictions on air travellers arriving in Canada to be quarantined at hotels for three days

In addition, air passengers arriving in Canada will continue to be compulsorily required to isolate themselves at the hotel for three days at their own expense.

On April 16, local time, in a large warehouse in Toronto, Canada, the store placed alcohol hand sanitizer next to the shelf for customers to use.

On the same day, the cumulative number of reported new crown cases in Canada exceeded 1.1 million.

　　According to reports, the border restrictions imposed by the United States and Canada began in March 2020 and have now been extended to May 21.

Mexico said late on April 19 that the country will also maintain some border travel restrictions.

　　The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said, "As the health situation improves, discussions are ongoing with Canada and Mexico to relax restrictions."

　　According to reports, these restrictions have severely hit many border communities and businesses.

Passengers must book a government-designated hotel 3 nights before departure, and wait for the result in the hotel isolation after arrival.

If the result is negative, the passenger is also required to go home and continue to be quarantined for the remaining 14 days.
