Mainz (dpa / lrs) - The Rhineland-Palatinate police are now also targeting speeders and speeders in the Europe-wide control campaign “Speedmarathon”.
In the area of the Mainz police headquarters, the focus will be on the motorways, according to a spokesman.
The aim of the campaign is, among other things, to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by accidents on the streets, as the Europe-wide police network Roadpol announced.
According to the information, there will also be increased speed controls in other federal states such as Hesse or Baden-Württemberg.
