No difference in age of covid-IVA patients during the year

Occasionally, there have been reports that patients admitted to covid-IVA have become increasingly younger.

But that is not true of covid-IVA at the county hospital in Ryhov in Jönköping.

Here, the median age is now the same as before during the pandemic, around 63-64 years. 

- Some time periods may be an over-representation of younger people, but then there will be weeks when there are more older people.

We see no difference in age here at covid-IVA in Jönköping during the pandemic, says Knut Taxbro, chief physician at Länssjukhuset Ryhov.
