The novel came in 2018 and is about the literary star Penny Löwe, just over 20 years old who burned the entire advance to the next book during a stay in London with her idol, the Scanian Youtube star Lola.

Important themes are destructive friendships and creative locks.

"I want to make a film that explores the big questions about creativity and coldness, artistry and what authenticity really is," says Ylva Forner in the press release.

The film "Flash, crackle, dazzle!"

is expected to premiere in 2024.

SVT's reporter followed the author and psychologist Jenny Jägerfeld when she visited the place where she grew up in Skärblacka outside Norrköping.

The report was made in the autumn of 2019 when the now acclaimed book was released.
