April 21, 2021 Reopening the restaurants indoors before June 1 "is our proposal, after which the Regions do not decide but the Government. We are trying to be constructive".

This was stated by the president of the Conference of the Regions, Massimiliano Fedriga.

Speaking of reopening, Fedriga recalled that, according to the draft law, from next week only outdoor restaurants will be open in the evening in the yellow areas: "it is a strong limitation, which I hope can be overcome in the coming weeks".

The Conference - which will meet this morning in an extraordinary session - has already presented "the guidelines for internal catering with very strict rules".

On the curfew he then explains "there is an dialogue with the Government. The Conference of Regions proposes, an absolutely responsible measure, to extend it by an hour, up to 11 pm, to allow activities to have a minimum of respite". On this point, the President of Emilia-Romagna adds: "I would put a curfew at 11 pm but these are details, a good compromise has been found that could already be improved today".

"There are two solutions: either the curfew is delayed by one hour, which in any case means something sober, or it is allowed to go home by showing the receipt of the restaurant - says the Governor of Liguria, Giovanni Toti - I understand prudence and it is true that you have to leave carefully but going home at 9.30 pm is incompatible with a dinner at a restaurant, we are not a Nordic country and it does not make all this difference to go home at 10 pm or 11 pm. they will be reopened by pretense ".

"School 100% impossible, there are no means of transport"

As regards the school chapter, Fedriga underlines: "Both the Regions and the Government have the objective of 100% attendance. We pointed out to the Government, and so did the prefects, that there are objective impossibilities. The number 100% of the means necessary for school in attendance is absolutely not reachable because physically the means are lacking. In my region alone, 300 more buses would be needed. You understand that technically it is impossible to have these numbers ". The problem of transport is also raised by Bonaccini: "I would have expected a little more flexibility from the school world on timetables - he underlines - because we are heading towards the warm season and the timetables could also be diluted in the afternoon. The staggering of timetables has been taken into consideration but not everywhere in the country and a better staggering could be sought ".
