It was in January that the labor market and adult education committee in Eskilstuna approved the proposal to offer holiday internships to vulnerable young people.

But the decision was appealed by the Medborgerlig samling party, a party that describes itself as liberal-conservative and which entered three municipalities in the last election.

But today, the Administrative Court in Linköping announced that it is following the municipality's line.

The judgment states that there are objective reasons "for deviating from the principle of equality".

Socio-economic problems

The ruling states that such reasons may be that young people may have difficulty finding work on their own and that they come from families with socio-economic problems.

Some of the young people are also enrolled in the social services.

The verdict can still be appealed to the Court of Appeal.
