Gießen (dpa / lhe) - Because a couple is said to have dumped large amounts of garbage in a forest area near Gießen, they now have to pay a fine of 10 500 euros.
The city of Giessen announced on Wednesday that boxes with clothing, books and electrical appliances as well as several bottles of cleaning agents were found at the beginning of the year.
The spouses who moved from Buseck to Gießen and who are said to have got rid of surplus things in this way were identified as the alleged perpetrators.
A total of 10 to 15 cubic meters of garbage were discovered.
