Vaccinations for priority populations began in China on December 15, 2020.
Earlier, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) agreed with its Chinese partner Hualan Biological Bacterin on the production of more than 100 million doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine per year in China.
China also approved for clinical trials its sixth own vaccine against coronavirus infection COVID-19 and the third drug developed by the national pharmaceutical company Sinopharm.
