A situation that could be viewed as preparing for a test launch of the submarine ballistic missile SLBM has been spotted.

The US Institute for Strategic and International Affairs released a report on the analysis of satellite images taken at the Nampo Naval Shipyard, taken six times this month, on the 20th local time.

The report said in satellite imagery that North Korea placed a cylindrical object, believed to be a launch tube, on an SLBM test barge.

However, it is not possible to clearly determine whether the object is a launch tube from the current photographs, nor does it rule out the possibility of a strategic deception or misinformation operation in preparation for the SLBM launch.
